For four years a man told women he was a professional football player. He wore the jersey on first dates. He brought a helmet to dinner. He filmed himself explaining a career that did not exist, and sent those recordings to the women he was courting.
In August 2026 federal prosecutors in Oregon charged him with wire fraud and conspiracy. The film is built almost entirely from his own recordings, set against the federal complaint that takes them apart line by line.
